Any film junkies out there can’t wait four more months for the Tribeca Film Festival to roll around? Never fear, because the Museum of the Moving Image has brought back its First Look again in 2013, and opening night is tonight, January 4.
In 2012, we saw First Look come to the Queens museum with a series of feature-length and short films. This time around, the Museum of the Moving Image will show 26 films from 12 different countries.
Tickets for First Look are included with admission to the museum ($12 adults, $9 children) and all screenings are open to museum members.* If you’re looking for great film and you’re on a tight budget, a trip out to Astoria this weekend will be well worth your money.
The Museum of the Moving Image’s First Look opens on January 4 and continues through January 13.
*Opening night tickets are the only tickets not included in the general admission or for museum members. Museum members will receive a discounted price for opening night.
